There's this giant crawling bat-monster you have to fight and I was laying down trip mines for it to crawl across and damage it. I still remember laughing at two moments in the game with Sheva's poor AI. On the other hand, single-player is a legit drag due to your partner's insanely bad AI, the game has some exceedingly racist undertones (almost OVERtones), characters like Jill really get shafted, the horror element has almost entirely been eradicated, and it's more unintentionally hilarious than it was ever designed to be during key moments. On one hand, you have a phenomenally fun, tongue-in-cheek co-op shooter with great visuals, setpieces, a career-defining performance by DC Douglas as Wesker, some of the most hilarious failed QTE options out there, and the closet things to closure for the Umbrella/Wesker storyline we'll likely ever get.
